We first met at Art College in London in the 1980's and kept in touch subsequently for 30years without ever realising that one day we might start a new life together. Somehow our paths crossed at the only possible synchronised moment that could have brought us together as a couple and we got married in 2016 and have never looked back. Both of us had been Artistically active individually, Lorna successful as a well respected Acrylic landscape and seascape painter in East Sussex and Stephen as a Sculptor and painter in Suffolk however neither of us had attempted Collaboration on the scale that we subsequently embraced as our everyday Art practice. Usually on paper and mixed media our work covers a wide range of subject matter from Architecture and how humans interact within and amongst it right through to reimagined classical subject matter and everything in-between. There is an openness to chance and reinterpretation as well as surprise which keeps us fresh. The collaborative process allows us to explore the familiar with wide open eyes .To date we have exhibited in group and individual Gallery shows and are represented by Bell Fine Art and London Contemporary Art. We have also linked up with fundraising charitable organisations locally and endeavoured to support Cultural institutions during the Pandemic by offering a percentage from print sales toward ongoing costs during difficult times seeing this sort of societal interaction as part and parcel of Artistic endeavour.
Media Type
We are a West Suffolk based married couple who have been collaborating Artistically for 7 years as well as completing individual projects.
