My practice is very much involved with found objects.
I have a large collection of discarded items in my studio which I then transform into sculptures, collage and assemblages. These vary in size depending on how they inspire me. Some works are more like collages which I then have framed
I feel that I am transforming that which nobody wants anymore, and I create something that is renewing, transforming, intriguing, thought provoking and sometimes, though not necessarily, beautiful. Metal, rusty metal, packaging, anything that inspires me to form sculptures, montages, collages and the placing of objects. I like hands on approach which I carry into my printmaking and painting.
I make prints using etching, intaglio and relief printing. Colour is very important in all my work.
