From traditional leaded windows to delicate fused-glass jewellery.
Working with lead, copper foil and fused-glass techniques from a small studio based in Felixstowe, Suffolk.
Biography/Details

Claire started working with stained glass over 25 years ago.

Working with lead, copper foil and fused glass techniques, Claire takes a lot of inspiration from nature, a love of sailing, the beach and the sea around where she works and lives. This is how the name Spinnaker Glass was created.

Claire works out of a small studio based in Felixstowe, crafting a wide range of items from windows, panels, mirrors, bowls, candle lanterns, lampshades, garden art and delicate fused glass jewellery. Claire also undertakes repairs of leaded stained-glass windows and door panels and provides mentoring and teaching to students.

"I am very interested in mixing techniques such as copper foil and fused glass with traditional lead windows to craft spectacular panels. Glass is a fabulous medium in which to create beautiful designs to reflect the world."

Claire has some ready made creations in her shop Spinnaker Glass most of her work is commission based, providing designs and quotations on request.

Claire is a member of The Contemporary Glass Society and the UK Glass Art Collective.
