Roz loves the great outdoors, and this is what inspires her work. Much of the time she's out hiking, exploring, riding and swimming in the UK countryside. She always takes her sketchpad and is never without her Border Collie, Aria - aka #studiodog.
Roz is someone who thrives on evolving, and this is key to both the development of her style and the themes that inspire her work.
Evolving means different things to different people. Some people find change difficult; others embrace it. Evolving is a slow form of change, more subtle perhaps, but still emotionally charged. It is fascinating to capture. Roz loves the varied landscapes and seasons that we have in the UK and this is what inspires her prints and paintings. For those who follow her work, you’ll also notice that she has a particular fascination for trees and woodland flowers, and loves capturing their life cycle through the year.
Roz has exhibited at venues including the Cambridge Printmakers Biennial and the Southbank Printmakers Mini Print exhibition. She has also had work featured in books, such as Limited Edition and Paw Prints by Mascot Media as well as running local workshops.
In 2021, Roz completed the Certificate in Fine Art Printmaking at the Curwen Print Study Centre, a traditional, educational, fine art printmaking charity associated with Stanley Jones MBE, to extend her professional practice and skills.
