I am a potter and printmaker. I make colourful things aimed at making people smile. Mugs, bowls, tiles, dishes, creatures, cards and prints.
Biography/Details
I have had parallel journeys with clay and ink. I love both and they compete for my time.
The pots i make are decorated with a printmaking mind set. I can build simple or more complex patterns by embossing a simple form. The embossed clay surface is a beautiful one for colourful glazes to bring contrast to.
I love the transformative process of linoprinting. Carving a block shapes an image in particular way, and layering blocks together makes for a simple and bold graphic style which i love.
