Biography/Details
- I discovered the world of sculpture and clay later in life.
originally I trained as a pastry chef and worked in hotels, as well as having my own outside catering business.
In my thirties I decided that I wanted a change. I started training as a blacksmith, in an interior furnishings company. I then had to chance to work with resin, in the same company, making decorative curtain pole finials.
I continued there until I had the opportunity to buy a kiln and a pottery painting business. This, I started about a year before the first lockdown.
I obviously had to find something to do, whilst home schooling my daughter.
so I bought myself some clay and started sculpting and the rest is history.
Four years on and I now sell my work in galleries and boutique shops. One of my main animal sculptures is seals. These sell in north Norfolk and have now found homes in America, Canada, Australia and other places around the world.
