Louise Pallister (b.1966, UK) is a fine artist working in charcoal, conte, ink, drypoint, etching, monoprint, woodcut, lino, and photography.
Louise’s initial degree studies in sculpture along with close observation of animals laid the foundations for a distinctive drawing style that often emphasises movement. Returning to art school as a mature student she graduated from City & Guilds of London Art School with an MA Fine Art in 2014. Louise has exhibited at Society of Wildlife Artists, DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, Ferens Open, RBSA Print Prize, and Northern Print.
Her practice aims to reveal unseen aspects of an animal or highlight the status of a species whether extinct, endangered, or simply overlooked. Her essays on art and nature journal have been published by online journal The Learned Pig.
