Can't start a drawing - just close your eyes and draw a squiggle!.... or visit me at the Trust Farm Studio on the last two weekends in June. I shall be demonstrating all day! Working now as a water colourist, illustrator, sketch artist and using a variety of mixed media, my output is eclectic and covers a variety of subjects, inspired in particular by boats, ropes, foliage, Asian scenes/culture and includes a light-hearted selection of ink sketches.
My books are full of my paintings and sketches; for example, 'About Boats' covers everything from the familiar fishing boats of Aldeburgh to working boats, leisure craft, ropes and anchors - sketched on my travels worldwide. I have illustrated a further eight books on commission and am now working on a new book on Vietnam and Thailand. I am passionate in wanting to help students find, develop and hone their own potential. My workshops are held on Tuesdays. Two and three day courses are held from Tuesday to Thursday.
