I love watercolour's vibrant transparency, happy accidents and pigment granulation, but will mix it up with other media and collage.
Biography/Details
Art and crafts have always offered diversion and solace for me, an opportunity to escape to my 'happy place'. I have painted with watercolours since the 1990's, when I attended Adult Education classes in pursuit of light relief from my stressful day job. I have continued to explore the medium with a number of watercolour experts, picking up inspiration and tips along the way. Even though watercolour continues to excite and reward me, I'm not averse to chucking some acrylic ink or other watery media into the mix. For me, the simple aim is to produce art that moves me and creates an emotional connection with people.
