I grew up in Lancashire and moved to London as a student, studying fashion and textiles. After spending the next 20 years living in the city working firstly as a textile designer, then a commercial illustrator I decided to move to the East Anglian countryside. I still work for many international companies designing all things from mugs to Christmas cards. For 30 years I exhibited annually in New York which gave me some fantastic opportunities to work with companies all over the world.
Changing the way I work from computer to the hands on feel of lino cut printing is like a breath of fresh air. I love the feel of working with the tools and inks, it's such a huge challenge to create images in this way.
