After gaining a degree at Leicester College of Art in Printed Textiles, I became interested in breaking down the barriers between "Art" and "Craft", and for many years fabric dye and stitch were my chosen mediums for depicting the landscape.
I have now chosen to concentrate purely on working in watercolour and water-soluble crayons, but retain my passion for detail, texture, and capturing the energy of a place, and am loving the freedom of these new mediums. I am fascinated by the play of light on and within water and this features increasingly in my work.
East Anglia is my home, and walking its lanes and shorelines my main source of inspiration.
I have work in both national and international collections. Solo exhibitions include The Maltings Gallery Snape, Ferini Gallery Pakefield, Artspace Woodbridge and The Holt Gallery Norfolk. Currently, my work can also be seen in Southwold Gallery and the Lion House Gallery, Lavenham.
