Trained in the 1960s at Walthamstow and Hornsey , I took a post graduate course in the 80s at Goldsmith's College. Since then I have concentrated on portrait, landscape and still life painting.
Much of my time has been spent on commissions, particularly the conversation piece. However, I have still found time to work on other subjects such as life painting and, to some extent, still life.
Until recently I have run classes in my studio at Theberton but have recently moved back to my home studio where I have been working on self motivated projects.
I enjoy teaching. As President of the Southwold Art Circle, I have given many talks on artists of the late nineteenth century such as Zorn, Sorolla and Sargent. Life drawing has been an important part of my practice and I have run life drawing classes for the Southwold Art Circle for many years.
