Life-drawing, puppetry and storytelling are mainstays. I work with pencil, paint, card, found objects, cloth, clay, wire and light.
Biography/Details
From Ipswich Art School I trained in theatre design at Wimbledon School of Art. I worked for many years in mainstream theatre, film and ballet, designing and making costumes, sets and props. In addition I have been closely involved for several decades with The Little Angel Theatre, Islington, a world renowned puppetry company.
Currently I work regularly with the "Asylum" life-drawing group.
In addition to my on-going drawing and painting, I am making three-dimensional work in wire and mixed media which explores the use of lighting shadow and scale.
