I am a married mum of 2 living in Lowestoft. Having always loved by the coast I find myself continually drawn to painting its wildness and beauty, and the healing and clarity it offers us.
I also an passionate about creating more conceptual work, work that invites a dialogue with the viewer, connecting with their emotions and spirituality, speaking into their life experiences and needs.
I began painting as a child, exhibiting in Lowestoft with the Horseshoe art club. I studied art up to A level, then moving on to study Sociology and Theology - subjects that both inform and are informed by my work.
In the mid 2000s I began creating pieces that expresses my love of the coast, alongside pieces that spoke into peoples’ emotional experiences, creating moments of spiritual insights, exhibiting at Ferini Gallery in Lowestoft and at The Greenbelt Festival with Veritasse.
From there I began to explore more deeply how art can speak prophetically into peoples situations, beginning to create pieces live in Lowestoft town centre as part of my role as town Centre Chaplain and giving them away as they resonated with individuals life experiences. Connected to this, for 3 years I facilitated a “free art Friday” movement over Easter encouraging local amateur creatives to donate items which spoke into themes of new life and renewal.
Most recently I have painted live and displayed work at the Latitude Festival where I worked with the Festival well-being provision, and currently I have work in The Ferini Gallery Lowestoft
I sell my work through Kadosh Soul Space - a Well-being and Counselling business I run with my husband, selling on Etsy as Kadosh Art Space. I take commissions for bespoke pieces, and sell a range of work including original pieces, prints, bookmarks and retro print packs.
