Drawing in colour with pastels and painting with oils, combining abstract patterns with still life and discovering patterns in landscape.
Biography/Details
My training was at the London College of Fashion where I was especially interested in the life drawing classes. Following on from raising a family I have returned to my interest in art and design. I'm especially interested in colour and the effects of pattern in relation to colour whether it is abstract or the natural shapes of still life or landscape. I gravitate towards oils because of the colour and feel of the painted and also pastel for the texture and beautiful range of colours which allows for drawing and painting spontaneously. I have placed work in the Halesworth gallery and have shown work in previous Open Studios.
