Biography/Details
Duncan McCall trained in the conservation of ceramics and glass at West Dean College. Whilst there he was also taught pottery for two years by the celebrated studio potter Alison Sandeman.
Duncan now works both freelance and from his studio at Earl Soham near Framlingham, combining his conservation/restoration practice with practical pottery (making a range of decorative and functional objects).
As a conservator/restorer, Duncan works for private clients, dealers, auction houses and heritage organisations. He has worked with The National Trust, Plowden & Smith, and Tiago Oliveira Conservation. As a potter, Duncan accepts commissions and usually has work available for purchase.
