DENISE ANN
Abstract artist living in the Waveney Valley on the Suffolk side.
My inspiration comes from walking the lanes and coastline of this beautiful county with some earlier work inspired by the Yorkshire Dale of Swaledale.
I work by taking many photographs for inspiration. Many artists I find inspire me, but I particularly am drawn to the work of Barbara Hepworth, Mark Rothko and Mondrian.
Acrylic is my most used medium onto a canvas or more recently onto wood. I am very intuitive in my work, so I oftendon’t have a finished outcome in my head for my finished creation.
Art and creativity have been my meditation and go to for many years now. The colours enrich my work and give me plenty of time to reflect. Often, I work on a few pieces of work at the same time so my studio can become rather cramped and resembles an organised chaos from time to time.
My work is in different sizes from large canvas to small postcards.
My studio is the garden and the conservatory which overlooks the garden with its many varieties of wildlife.
