I specialised in textiles and printmaking at Ipswich Art School, and went on to study Art with Business at University. I later worked in retail management before raising my twin daughters, and have returned to my love of art in recent years.
I am passionate about nature and wildlife, and my artwork is inspired by colour in the natural world. My favourite subjects are botanicals, birds and butterflies.
I am captivated by fleeting moments, such as the turquoise flash of a kingfisher in flight. The transient, ever changing state of flowers also fascinates me, and I aim to capture moments in time on the canvas.
My work is bold, and often a close up view, capturing delicate details in colour tones, of a flowers petals, or a birds feathers.
