Since retiring in 2009 from full time teaching and moving to Suffolk I have had more time to develop my work. The expansive beauty of the skies, fields and woodland around the Blyth valley and all along the coast near Dunwich never fails to inspire me, whatever the season or weather. My means of expression is varied and has become increasingly abstracted, driven by my passion for mark making and materials, and their interaction with form and colour to express immediacy and freshness.
Since 2009 I have exhibited regularly in annual group shows at:
The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth
The Halesworth Gallery, Halesworth
The Harry Becker Society, Wenhaston and Blythburgh
The Bell Gallery, Bungay
My work is also represented by Frivoli Gallery, London
