I fall in love with a view and can paint it time and again in different seasons and different light. Style is impressionist. Subjects are found mainly in East Anglia but also around the world. Light on water fascinates me.

Aside from his beautiful oils (one piece of which now hangs in pride of place in our living room), I would like to praise Rodney, the man, for giving our daughter a truly special one-to-one education on oils, views, capturing light and feeling comfortable painting freely. Such a kind, well-educated, patient and helpful man, we have been very lucky to get to know, albeit very briefly. Our best wishes to Rodney for the rest of the Suffolk Open Air events and all his selfless charity work.
Feedback from Rodney Freeman: I had a very rewarding afternoon on the first weekend guiding a talented young artist (Millie Brockwell) in her first encounter with oil and palette knives. She produced a stunning landscape painting of the view from our upstairs balcony outside the studio. Watch this name!
